Description
Recently painted traditional Tug Style live aboard narrowboat. Two owners from new, Titan is of steel construction and fitted out with pine tongue and groove above the gunnels and ceiling. Below the gunnel is carpeted plywood, and flooring is varnished pine boards. There are five brass-plated portholes either side of Titan and four mushroom vents along the roof for ventilation. All lighting and water pumps are 12V, with 240V sockets in the saloon and engine room. A gas locker is built in the bow, in front of a stainless steel water tank in the foredeck. The fuel tank is built in to the stern. Boat Safety Certificate valid to August 2011 Layout Enter Titan from the open foredeck; down the quaint gypsy caravan style steps in to the saloon area past the built-in front hanging wardrobe with storage drawers below. The saloon consists of an ‘L-shaped’ built-in seating area with an additional moveable bench, currently situated next to the stove. There is a side hatch in the saloon on the starboard side. The steps down from the foredeck are removable, utilising a large storage area below. Storage is also available below the cushioned seating. The ‘U-shaped’ galley has a cooker, fridge, water heater and double sink with Victorian style mixer tap. There is a corner unit cupboard under the tiled work top with ample storage and an additional cupboard and drawer. A bulkhead separates the bathroom from the galley / saloon area, consisting of a vanity basin with storage below, and corner unit above with mirror; shower and Thetford cassette toilet. Basin and shower area are tiled, flooring is laminated pine. Past the bathroom is a built in double bed (6ft 2” by 4ft) with full storage area below, and a shelving unit mounted to the wall. Past the bedroom are steps leading up to the engine room at the stern of the boat. There is a domestic and a starter battery, the 240V shoreline mains socket and a storage cupboard. The Kingfisher Engine is started using a traditional speed wheel for the throttle and gears are selected using the removable gear shaft out of the engine floor.
